We worked on a project to convert an 11-story residential building, located along Route 246 in Sakuragaoka, Shibuya-ku, into an office space. Our main focus was on the design of the southern wing’s facade and the common areas. Since the facility was planned to operate for approximately five years, cost-effectiveness was a key consideration in the project. We carefully assessed the existing condition of the building and utilized its irregularities and gaps as design elements, creating a rich space through careful attention to finishes, textures, and subtle transitions of colors.
