Project for the renovation of a 27-year-old apartment building facing a shopping street in Nakameguro Station. We were in charge of the concept and design of the common areas and three types of residential units. The common areas were reimagined with minimal modifications based on painting and graphics to keep the budget as low as possible. The three types of units were designed with the concepts of “Coffee and Bread,” “Bicycle and Doma,” and “Record and Cat” in the context of Nakameguro, and the renovation plan was bold and unique to the renovation of a small number of units. The result is that the refurbished units are not only unique in terms of size, but also in terms of the number of units. As a result, the renovated units are filling up smoothly, and we plan to renovate them as vacancies arise.
